Kayakers invited to try out for world championships

For the first time a Manx team will be fielded at the event - it will take place at Portrush in Northern Ireland next October. 

 

The championships will feature some of the best surf kayakers in the world battling to be crowned world champion. 

 

The organising team from the Island is now urging people with the right level of skill and experience to get in touch - selection will be based on merit and commitment. 

 

Organisers say they want the Island's input to act as a 'springboard' for increased participation in surf kayaking and other paddlesport disciplines.
